10 Top Tips To Rodent Proof Your Home

Doors – Fit a bristle strip to the bottom of doors which have a gap bigger than the size of a pencil.

Airbricks – Fit a mouse mesh panel to Airbricks and vents to stop access.

Pipework — Seal all holes that surround new or existing pipes with Rodent barrier.

Vegetation – Remove all climbing plants that reach the roof of your property and cut back vegetation around doors or windows.

Roof — Fix any damaged roof or slipped tiles and fill any gaps with wire wool.

Bird Feeders – Remove any spilled bird seed at the end of every day to remove a food source for mice.

Sheds — Check your garden sheds on a regular basis for signs of gnawing, this may be an entry point for mice, and it’s only a short walk to your home from here!

Rubbish — Any black bags containing food waste place inside plastic bins with a lid.

Housekeeping – Inside your home keep all open foods inside cupboards in vapour lock containers.

Wash them dishes! – Don’t leave it till the morning, every night before bed ensure that your kitchen is clean and tidy and all food is removed and dishes are washed and put away.
